Cloud Native Engineering Manager

The cloud native engineering manager is responsible for the entire cloud native development practice area at Infinite Lambda.

This role requires an extensive technical background, forward thinking and thought leadership in the space of cloud native development. Here, you will own and drive company-level technology strategies, initiatives and partnerships.

You will have an active role in the selection, talent development and progression initiatives related in your division. A successful person will ensure the quality of delivery and will support the talent development operations within the division by helping create trainings and implement division-wide upskilling initiatives.

Requirements

Extensive cloud native development experience (8+ years)
Experience in leadership positions: principal engineer or tech leader for 3+ years
Experience in an international environment and distributed teams
Strong architectural and consultancy skills
Java 8 and later, Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud
Proficiency with various design and architectural patterns: creational, structural, behavioural
Hands-on experience with building tools: Maven and Gradle
Databases: relational backend database, NoSQL database, ORM, schema migration
Strong distributed systems foundations
Inter-process communication: REST, Google Protocol Buffers
Testing: JUnit 4/5, TDD, jBehave, Cucumber or similar
Working with and creating containerised applications
Effective knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Gitlab, Circle CI, AWS CodePipeline
Understanding of debugging event-driven systems
Security and compliance consciousness
