Jim brings more than 15 years of experience driving digital and AI strategy at Johnson & Johnson and AstraZeneca, where he has helped modernise global platforms, improve performance, and use data to drive outcomes across R&D and commercial teams.
To mark this exciting moment in our growth journey, we sat down with Jim to get his take on AI readiness, what clients really need, and what makes Infinite Lambda stand out.
What drew you to Infinite Lambda?
This has actually been years in the making. Back in 2015, at AstraZeneca, I worked together with Infinite Lambda CEO Nas Radev, building data platforms that turned into engines for scientific discovery and commercial impact.
We always talked about teaming up again, and when the opportunity came up to help lead Infinite Lambda’s US expansion, I jumped at it.
What drew me in? A few things:
First, this team knows how to deliver. Not just ideas or strategies, but real, measurable outcomes. Second, such combination of deep engineering rigor and sharp business thinking is rare, and exactly what companies need right now.
And finally, Infinite Lambda doesn’t stop at building great data platforms and AI strategies. They focus on enabling people across businesses to actually use them to drive impact.
I have always believed that data and AI are everyone’s business (reference to one of my favorite management books). It is not just a tagline; it is a mindset. And it is one I’m excited to help bring to life for our clients at Infinite Lambda.
What do you see as the biggest challenge companies face when it comes to AI adoption?
The biggest challenge is not ambition; it’s execution.
Everyone wants to use AI to move faster, work smarter, and make better decisions. But most organisations are not set up to get there. Legacy systems, messy data, and siloed teams are slowing things down. And even when the tech is in place, people are not always empowered to use it.
The real opportunity is turning AI from a side experiment into something embedded in the way the business runs. That means making data reliable, AI tools intuitive, and teams confident.
And what I love in particular about Infinite Lambda’s model is their focus on people. Through our Academies, bootcamps, and technical accelerators, we help clients build internal capability to maximize AI-driven impact from day one.
That is how you really move beyond experimentation and turn AI into something that delivers value every day.
What excites you the most about Infinite Lambda’s expansion into the US?
The US is full of companies with bold goals, but a lot of them are still stuck trying to turn their AI vision into reality. That is where Infinite Lambda comes in.
We empower companies to make their data AI-ready, and then go further, helping them adopt AI in ways that actually improve how work gets done. It is not about shiny demos or pilots but rather about solving real business challenges, eliminating inefficiencies, and giving teams the tools to do more of what matters.
We have already proven the model across Europe and Asia. Now, I’m excited to bring that momentum stateside, partnering with organisations that are ready to turn AI into a core capability, not just a buzzword.
What experience are you bringing to this role from your previous positions?
I have been fortunate to lead digital and AI initiatives across both commercial and R&D teams at large, complex companies like Johnson & Johnson, AstraZeneca, and Northrop Grumman. That has given me a front-row seat to what works, what does not, and what it really takes to scale change in high-stakes environments.
What I bring is the ability to connect strategy to execution. I have helped modernize infrastructure, drive measurable performance improvements, and build alignment across stakeholders who do not always speak the same language. I have also seen how powerful data and AI can be when people, processes, and platforms are moving in sync.
What does successful transformation look like to you?
For me, it is when data and AI stop being side projects and start driving day-to-day actions and decisions across the business.
Success means platforms are modern, the data is trusted, and teams are actually using the tools to solve real problems, whether that is improving operations, accelerating insights, or making smarter, faster calls on the spot.
This is not just about setting up new systems or tools but about changing behavior and driving impact. When transformation works, it sticks, it scales. And most importantly, it empowers people to do their jobs better to drive impact.
